Cloud operations cost trap

Where cloud operations actually lose money

The cloud bill is only part of the problem. The bigger lever often sits in over-provisioned resources, tool sprawl and senior time stuck in recurring troubleshooting.

Cloud costs

Resources run larger or longer than necessary. Skalenta finds consumption patterns and prioritizes where optimization actually frees up money.

  • Over-provisioned instances
  • Unclear consumption patterns
  • Manual optimization instead of continuous adjustment

Software costs

Many teams pay for several tools for monitoring, incident response, runbooks and deployments. Skalenta consolidates workflows instead of adding yet another point solution.

  • Multiple tools for similar workflows
  • License costs per team or user
  • No end-to-end ops workflow

Ops time

Senior engineers lose time to routine, escalations and manual analysis. Skalenta surfaces recurring patterns and brings fix suggestions, runbooks and automation into a controlled workflow.

  • Recurring troubleshooting
  • On-call and escalation load
  • Less time for product work

Obsyd

Embedded in your workflow, governed by approval gates.

  • Analyzes: Detects anomalies, cost drains and inefficiencies in real time.
  • Prioritizes & suggests: Generates ready-made fixes and runbooks for approval.
  • Automates: Runs approved remediation and scaling routines on its own.

The result

  • Costs dropFewer avoidable cloud and tool expenses through demand-based scaling.
  • Routines disappearNo more manual error analysis for recurring problems.
  • MTTR dropsSignificantly faster resolution thanks to instantly available fix suggestions.

Not a SaaS. Full data sovereignty.

With most SaaS vendors, your telemetry, logs and incident data leave the company. Skalenta runs inside your own infrastructure, no data leaves your cluster.

Classic incident SaaS

  • Data flows into the vendor's cloud
  • Monthly per-seat license, indefinitely
  • Data sovereignty sits with the vendor
  • Hard to impossible in regulated industries

Obsyd, private deployment

  • Runs in your cloud, on-premise or hybrid
  • No data leaves your cluster
  • You own operations and data sovereignty
  • Auditable & traceable, DORA, NIS-2, EU AI Act
Honest comparison

What Obsyd does, and where others stop.

Incident depth on par with the established players, plus cloud cost optimization, managed delivery and one differentiator no SaaS vendor can honestly claim: private deployment with full data sovereignty.

What our clients say

Real-world experiences, B2B teams that have automated their cloud operations with skalenta.io.

As a pure dev team we didn't want to build a dedicated DevOps role. The stack was set up cleanly on Azure once, all as code, and operations have run autonomously through KI-Ops ever since. We're building features again instead of firefighting infrastructure.
Managing Director · IT service provider, Germany
We run on donations and volunteers, an IT department is unthinkable for us. Everything was moved to Azure once and has run on its own ever since. We get to focus on the animals again, KI-Ops takes care of the technology.
Board Member · Non-profit animal welfare organisation
A deploy used to mean uploading files over FTP and hoping. Now everything's in Git, runs through pipelines, and KI-Ops flags outages and critical versions across all my client sites. I can finally see what's going on.

Who Skalenta works best for

Built for complex, cloud-native environments where stability and cost control are decisive.

SaaS scale-ups

Scale cloud-native SaaS without ops chaos

For teams with a Kubernetes/Terraform/observability stack, rising cloud costs and recurring incident load.

E-commerce / retail tech

Run checkout, deployments and peak traffic more reliably

For teams where downtime, slow rollbacks or payment/webhook issues directly cost revenue.

Platform / DevOps / SRE

Less firefighting, more controlled automation

For teams that have tooling but still react too manually.

Regulated industries

Compliance without a feature backlog

For setups in FinTech, healthcare or public sector where security/compliance requirements must be clarified early.

Prove first. Then automate.

No big-bang IT project. We check the lever in your environment before you invest.

1

Potential Review

We review setup, cost structure, incident load and possible levers in 45 minutes.

2

Baseline & ROI

We calculate where avoidable costs arise and which business case holds up.

3

Pilot scope

We start narrow: one service, one cluster or one recurring incident flow.

4

Managed Ops

If the lever holds, we implement, measure and continuously optimize.

Packages

From a measurable starting point to continuous operations, three tiers, one goal: a solid, provable ROI.

Proof of Concept

The measurable entry point

We analyze your cloud operations and deliver solid, provable ROI before you commit to anything.

  • As-is analysis of your cloud ops
  • Individual ROI calculation
  • Proof-of-concept roadmap
  • Quick-win identification

Implementation

The automated foundation

We set up the automation: infrastructure as code, real-time telemetry, and automated routines.

  • IaC foundation & telemetry
  • Incident auto-triage & rollback
  • Consolidated tool stack
  • Compliance by design (DORA, NIS-2)

Managed Ops

Continuously optimized

We operate and continuously optimize your cloud operations, with guaranteed response times.

  • 24/7 auto-remediation
  • Continuous cost optimization
  • Audit reports on demand
  • Defined SLAs

Frequently asked questions

Clear answers to the most important questions from engineering and platform teams.

Is Skalenta just another monitoring tool?+

No. Monitoring shows symptoms, Skalenta adds a layer on top: it reads the signals from your existing tools, identifies root cause and cost drivers, prioritizes and delivers approved fixes, runbooks and automation. You don't get another dashboard, you get less manual reaction.

We already use Grafana, Datadog or PagerDuty. Why Skalenta on top?+

Good, then the question isn't telemetry, it's what comes of it. Skalenta builds on exactly those tools and turns alerts into reliable automation, clearer runbooks and less manual work. We don't replace your stack, we get more outcome out of it.

Will our team be replaced?+

No. The goal is the opposite: we take recurring routine, night shifts and troubleshooting off the team so senior time flows into product and architecture work. Skalenta is a lever for your team, not a replacement.

Does auto-remediation run fully autonomous everywhere from day one?+

No, deliberately not. Only defined, approved routine cases are fixed automatically, by default with an approval gate. Everything else comes as a validated fix suggestion. Scope grows only as far as you approve.

What happens to logs, telemetry and data?+

Skalenta runs inside your own infrastructure, cloud, on-premise or hybrid. Telemetry, logs and code are processed within your cluster; there is no obligation to send data to external SaaS services. We clarify deployment boundaries, access and audit logs before rollout.

What happens if no ROI is provable?+

Then there's no rollout. We start with a Potential Review and baseline and prove the lever on your real environment before you invest. Without a solid business case we don't recommend implementation.
